NUR 310 - RESEARCH FOR EVIDENCE-BASED NURSING PRACTICE College of Nursing

This course provides an introduction to the research methodology essential to providing evidence-based nursing care. students will acquire the fundamental basics in quantitative and qualitative nursing research. Legal and ethical issues are discussed. The students will also develop the knowledge and skills necessary to appraise research and apply to evidence-based nursing practice, including up-to-date electronic resources. Students learn to apply this knowledge through evidence-based practice processes. Students will then communicate an evidence-based project to their peers. This course is a Graduation Composition and Communication Requirement (GCCR) course in certain programs, and hence is not likely to be eligible for automatic transfer credit to UK.
Prereq: BST 230, STA 210, STA 296 or equivalent, or consent of instuctor. Approved for Distance Learning.
