NUR 326 - PATHOPHARMACOLOGY I FOR THE ABSN TRACK College of Nursing

This course was created for the Accelerated BSN track. Pathopharmacology I is the second of three courses addressing pathophysiologic and pharmacologic concepts basic to evidence-based nursing practice. Pathophysiologic concepts essential for understanding major health problems that occur across the life span are discussed. The goal of this course to understand how and why various pathophysiological signs and symptoms occur with an emphasis on those conditions which are common in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Evidence-based pharmacologic modes of treatment of major health problems are discussed.
Prereq: Admittance to the College of Nursing ABSN Track, certification in BCLS, completion of HIPAA, and verification of health insurance. Successful completion of NUR 324 and NUR 225, (or with written consent from the course coordinator). Approved for Distance Learning.
