NUR 772 - DISSEMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIP AND SCIENTIFIC FINDINGS

This course addresses the dissemination of academic scholarship and scientific findings. Dissemination is a planned process that involves consideration of target audiences and the setting in which research results are to be received and, where appropriate, communicated to wider audiences in ways that will facilitate research uptake in decision making processes and practice. Scholarly dissemination encompasses more than just the distribution and diffusion of information, it includes disseminating research results, identifying target users, engaging connector organizations, identifying barriers, developing success measures and allocating resources to implementation the plan. Utilization of theoretically-informed frameworks will be used to help students guide their dissemination planning and activity.

Prerequisite(s):
Prereq: Enrollment in Doctoral Program in Nursing and NUR 765 ; or consent of instructor.
